Bike racks

As bicycling has become a nation-wide competitive sport, companies have begun manufacturing a diverse range of bike racks to help with the ease of transporting bicycles from one location to the next. This comes in handy in competitive racing and for long distance bicycling clubs where transporting frames and gear safely from one location to another is vital.

Bike racks are also great for families or leisure cycling clubs, where multiple cyclists get together to enjoy biking through remote or new locations. Racks that safely attach to most sedans or light SUVs are generally inexpensive and discrete. They can accommodate both adult and youth sized bicycles so that everyone can enjoy a weekend bike getaway.

Bike racks come in two general designs. Some car manufacturers offer their own bike racks, while multiple online retailers provide multiple options for any vehicle. Some bicyclists prefer to purchase a roof rack which generally can hold up to three bicycle frames. Bike racks that attach to a vehicle’s trunk can accommodate additional bicycle frames, depending on the weight and size of the car.
